Even though this is one of the most static poses you can think of , a sentry on duty, the work on the drapery and equipment really takes this to another level . Superb sculpting and looking forward to seeing one painted.

Cheers Ken

I know, :), brushes MUST come out.

This was one of the last Debra commissioned from David and as she wasn't really in to forums I don't think it has been seen that much, I may be wrong.

It is a lovely figure and as a former RM it needs an oppo :)

The 80mm does make a difference size wise from Davids previous 65mm but I do think everything he did was lovely.

Best wishes all

Graham

This is a great figure. I've seen it before on Debra's site but never this close up. Seriously tempted to paint this as a Welsh Guardsman (I'm one quarter Welsh - useful when the Welsh beat England at Rugby).

I suppose that apart from the plume on the bearskin there is no difference. I think the greatcoat buttons will be the same no matter what regiment

Don

Hi Don, just plumes and David did 5 bearskins so all the regiments are covered.
Best wishes

I've just received a couple of these models from Graham and can confirm that it's a cracking figure. The quality of the metal casting is excellent and on a par with any of the more expensive metal kit manufacturers. I've ordered a full set in order that I can paint one of each of the foot guards regiments. I actually can't remember seeing this one in David Grieves collection before but it is certainly in keeping with his other better known kits and is a great subject matter.
I look forward to the other figures in this range being released.
Cheers
Gordon
