TW54013 - Captain,Royal Welsh Fusiliers, Ploegstert 1915
This figure, a Captain, is shown carrying a private purchase Jefferey Farquharson sporting rifle. Early trenchlife was dangerous due to the activities of enemy snipers. Images of the time show officers taking private hunting rifles to combat the threat.
TW54014 - Sergeant, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, Ploegsteert 1915
This figure, a Sergeant, is shown wearing a Gor Blimey cap (which replaced the wire supported cap) and an animal skin coat (usually goat or sheep) commonly known as a 'stinker' for obvious reasons!
