I learnt something today lol I love this hobby

The image is of a Kamikaze pilot, armed with an uncommon M. Zulaica y Cia Royal 7.65mm caliber pistol. Produced in Spain during the 1920s, it has a long grip frame holding a 12-round higher-capacity magazine. Japanese officers could buy a foreign weapon to use as their personal sidearm.
Cheers Chris

Nice, I don't think the painting does it t justice. I can imagine what the Life Miniatures guy might have done with it.
Many of them carried Samurai swords with them as well, not sure how useful that would be either. More symbolic or honorary than anything. The life preserver on the other hand...

I'd probably consider the life jacket superfluous gear on this kind of mission as well.
Still one may change one's mind at some point I guess.

But what I'd like to know most of all is why does Andrea continue to refuse to acknowledge their sculptors and painters.
It's something which I've always felt alienates the brand from most serious modellers who are interested in the origins of the pieces they collect.
I feel by withholding that information we're all treated by them as ignorant consumers rather than discerning figure modellers and collectors. Obviously they feel there is enough of a market there in the former category and they certainly seem to be doing ok .

Hi Chris, thanks for the information provided(y)

Bust looks good, very nice sculpting, flesh painting is not to my taste, the unpainted picture sells the kit better for me.

Alex.

Nice figure, but I think, sculpted after this original-photo...

...the variation from France is much better (not painted, but sculpted)...:

Cheers
