His mail coat looks like it's been knitted. This ones not for me but it will be popular no doubt.

Fan of the period but this one not for me though mail as Brian said and its just bland not sure what he is leaning on, a club possibly?
Steve

Hi
I Saw this at the white Rose club on sat along with other future releases for Euro.
It's a nice kit not for me but will sell well. it's a crisp cast very little clean up, and the mail looks better in the flesh.
Yes steve it is a War Club he is resting on.

Ian

Well, I like it but would like it better if there a kite-shield and helmet as accessories to place near the figure.

Hope Mike Blank does a Harold Godwinson figure and maybe even a Harald Hardraadi to supplement this.

Spike.

Just to confirm that this model will be available from me at Euro-Militaire this coming weekend.
It's £33 & is 75mm scale cast in resin.
I personally feel that the photos don't do the piece full justice - Mike spent a lot of time to get fine detailing into the chain mail. In the hand, this looks better than in the pics & will paint up well.
Steve

Janne,
Mike told me that he felt that it was better & more finely detailed. I'll put a casting out on the stand for people to look at over the Euro Weekend & then they can form their own opinion.
Steve

Love this peice, its so full of character and a lot of people will swallow their tongues when they see one painted up...Bravo !!
Regards
Pete

Hi Spike - Mike Blank is sending me a shield & helmet which the modeller can use to place on the groundwork with the figure. As soon as I have these & have them cast up, then we will be good to go! I'll keep you posted. If you want the fugure in the meantime without these additional items, then I can certainly get one to you.
Steve

Hi Everyone,
I've now got castings of the helmet & kite shield that Mike sculpted to accompany this figure. A pic of the raw castings is attached. Also attached are a couple of pics of the undercoated model which give a better view of the chain mail detail.
Model will be on my website in a few minutes....
