I have now started to add some paint to the 1st and 2nd busts,i always start with the face and headgear then work my way down the piece, here are some pictures from the first stage of the face painting,i always paint my faces in two sittings, with oils you tend to lose some contrast overnight,so I like to go back in the next day to refresh the face.
I will return to this stage tomorrow to complete the first face,i will add progress pics of the 2nd bust tomorrow as well.

As to be expected from you Smudger - superb rendition in colours that reflect the wear and tear of weather, sun and time, and the face is excellent. Looking forward to the finished product. Well done as usual.

Sterling work on the face.
If you hadn't stated you had more work to do, I'd have thought you'd finished.

Cheers,
Andrew
