a 120mm resin diorama of US Marines at the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean war. this is an S&T Models kit. a third Marine was added, after the dead Chinese soldier was carved away at the foot of the wall. The third Marine is a kit from Kirin. the Marine on the right's BAR barrel was broken off. this is an old photo. It is now glued back in place. The weathering was painted with the horrific conditions at the frozen Chosin in mind. All combatants present had to deal with the harsh elements of mud, snow and sub-zero temperatures. Five o'clock shadows were added for effect. I still paint with enamel paints for almost everything I do. Some acylics are used but I find that they dry faster. Enamels give time for blending, shadows and highlights.
