The following photos were taken by my good friend, Patrick Student, on June 2, 2016 using a Nikon D-700 camera with a Nikon Micro Nikkor 70 to 180mm lense, controlled by CamRanger wireless camera controller. Lighting was provided by five LED work lights with a 4000K rating. The background is a sheet of tan art paper from the local Dick Blick Art store. Patrick thought ahead and also constructed a two piece thin plywood paper holder backdrop which worked like a champ!

My thanks to Patrick for his photographic skills and outstanding technical expertise. I also have to offer an apology. Patrick's original photos were each very large files - too large to be collected and posted on just about any web site. I used Photoshop Elements to crop the images and in a couple of cases change the lighting slightly. Then I resaved the images using the Photoshop 'save for web' option. No other photo-processing was done.
All models are in 1/16th scale and composed using a combination of kit materials and sculpted two part putties. Many kit materials including all horses and the camel were modified extensively and converted from 'Napoleonic' saddles and equipment to early First World War equipment. All equipment, weapons and uniforms were made as accurately as possible; some materials made by myself were cast to ensure accuracy in duplication.
