great job with the figure, DPM is hoofin mate. can anyone answer me this though, did the paras wear wings and regimental ID flashes on their smocks during the falkands? I've been commissioned to do 2 paras with 2 and 3 para drop zone patches, but cant find any reference to them wearing in...

    Good Ebay sellers

Fields Of Glory are fantastic. never had a single problem with them in any way and the order(s) is usually with you in 3 days. they do a great range of scaled figures etc, but are a bit short on vehicles/armour if thats your thing.

To varnish or not to varnish?

ive only ever used mattcote on acrylics, but applied VERY sparingly, it does dry matt, reduces shine and protects the figure. whether ir would work on oils, is another matter, as i have never used oils. my best advice would be to paint some leftovers from any kits you have loafing that you...

Metal or resin, would you pay a little more

never seen any metal kits for sale, have only worked with resin and hollow plastic. i have to say, resin does have great detailing qualities, but is a bit of a pain to work with (when your as inexperienced with it as i am!) i would have thought though, converting a metal kit would be a...

    What's outside your comfort zone?

im currently converting a tamiya gulf war infantryman, into a modern day Royal Marine.... not really that tricky, but some of the sculpts, im particually proud of (this is the first time i have ever sculpted anything out of milliput, with the exception of sand bags for a 15mm warhammer diorama)...

    Imperial gallery figures....

and indeed.... the figure i send is an accurate representation of the one on the box, but you know as i do, that you could paint the same model kit 10 times, and each one would be different.

    Imperial gallery figures....

no, and the painting.... im not really following you on this one.... ok, i'll put it to you another way, how am i supposed to visually represent the model kits i havnt assembled, painted and photographed than by showing the original box art? bearing in mind i make the models to order and...

    1/16th weapons....

so i can find several 1/16th scale weapons online, but many models dont seem to be produced in that scale. most either seem to be 1/35th or 1/6th. does anyone know where i can lay my hands on a 1/16th : L129A1 (the "sharpshooter" as it is being called) MP5 (preferably the A2 version, but any...
