This is a Mike Blank sculpt in 75mm although it's a slightly shorter than that.

I have painted him as Lord North and Grey's regiment before the battle of Ramillies in May of 1706.
A brief history of the regiment.
This Regiment started life as Granvilles regiment of foote, the Earl of Bath's regiment and were raised at the time of the Monmouth rebellion in 1685. At the time of the war of Spanish succession, they were known as Lord North and Grey's Regiment. In 1751 they were given the title of The 10th regiment of foot (North Lincolnshire).

Things did got go well for me as he has had a Dettol bath, mainly because I could not get the red right.
I have made a rifles sling from paper as this was not supplied in the kit.
Hope you like my little effort.

Glad you got him sorted out in the end Bob (A dettol bath always shows them who's boss) :D
Cheers
Paul

Yes so was I, for some reason the red looked crap when I first painted it. Looks a whole lot better now.
Thanks for looking in.

Very nice Bob. It’s a great little figure by Mike Blank and for all its simplicity there’s still some nice details to pick out. The face is really characterful.

Hopefully I can get them in without the wife seeing what the postie brings

Hi Bob

A really nice looking figure even if it's got legs ...lol

I do like that uniform red almost a brick red , looks good with the yellow facings

MB sculpts are very distinctive and full of character

Thanks for sharing

Thank you Henkm and Nap, Much appreciated comments from you both, thank you.

Very nicely done Bob. Superb work on a subject from an era that hardly gets a look in.

Cheers
Chris

Thank you Chris, yes it is a forgotten subject, covering the period from 1702 -15 is quite a span.
It's a lovely period.
Hope your keeping safe.
