Hello Everybody,

This has been sitting around my shelf for a while, and as I'm focusing on ancient Greeks at the moment, I finally got around to him. A pleasure to paint.

Done exclusively in oils.

Hope you like him!

Regards,
Phil

Stunning mate. How did you find the quality of the casting? I've done two of these as commissions and the last one was heavily pitted on the cuirass which then took ages to polish smooth.

Hi Phil

This is IMO nearly a classic figure , it's beautifully painted , the cuirass looks great as does the cloak

The shield deserves a special mention , very neatly painted and looks really good

Do think about entering FOTM as well

We are also running a Vignette and Diorama comp till end of September ....details in FOTM part as well

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

Nap

Thanks Macca...

My casting was actually flawless - I didn't have any problems with the cuirass. It's a shame you had one that was pitted like that.

Thanks for the kind words, Nap! The cloak (with all those wonderful folds) and the shield were particularly fun to paint!
