Hi Guys,

some very early pics of a side project Ive started. The Lambretta TV is a diecast, which will have some modifications to bring it into scale a bit, the rider is in Milliput over a wire armature and is roughed out to get the pose right, so far. Scooter will have some additions to it, mirrors, lights, crash bars and backrest, rider will be in parka, Hush Puppies, Sta - prest and Italian jacket...!!

I am also taking posession of a diecast 60s Triumph Bonneville, which will also feature a period "rocker" in leather lancer jacket, jeans and big boots!!

Thanks for looking in(y)

Only normally comment on Napoleonics but you’ve grabbed my attention with this. Never could afford a scooter but many of my contemporaries had them. Great memories from the ‘60s. Will follow with much interest.

Like Airkid, I was a rocker, and stayed with bikes of various kinds. Don't forget the fisherman's socks and the white silk scarf !
And yes, I progressed to Harleys, but finally gave up three years ago, as osteo-arthritis took its toll of my old joints. At least my bikes went to good homes in the "fraternity" I still belong to. ;):D

There were two groups of us in the small town where I grew up, all of us old school friends. The biker group had original classic 60s bikes and dressed the part and us with original 60s scooters. Never any trouble, all drank in the same pub beacause we all knew each another! The only time we had any bother was when we ventured into Stafford, but never in Stoke!!(y)

Non at all, Jeff, it was all quite amusing really, the so-called rivalry. Mostly cooked up by the press at the time.....mostly !

Alan

Agreed Alan - there was far more aggressive rivalry between the two local football teams' fans. Never owned a H-D but had go on one or two back in the day - impressive torque.
