Another Verlinden repaint I'm afraid, this time their Soviet T34 Commander. As it comes, except with the addition of the Tamiya map case and binoculars.

Peter seriously mate you don’t sleep eh!!!
Smooth, clean paintwork which has become your trademark.
Impressed with how you’ve got three shades of black coming together on this chap. What were you mixes to show this variation?

Mike - Sleep is for wimps! I wanted to get this finished before going off on granddad duty this weekend - hate to leave things half finished. The black was done with mixes of Vallejo Matt Black and Basalt Grey, with just a touch of Grey White added for the extreme highlights - too light and it starts to look grey instead of black. It was finished off with various varnishes to give a light, leathery sheen.

Gonna say Peter, your a machine churning out the figures at this rate! Another super paint job.

Neal - A bit of a roll at the moment after bad period of messing everything up - making hay while the sun shines.

Mobo - Many thanks for looking in once again.

Hi Peter

Long may the hay making continue

Nice smooth painting , black works well , nice leather work and helmet

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

Nap

Mike - Thanks. He’s got a glint in his eye though.

Nap- A weekend away from the bench and the chance to give the eyes a rest.

Morning Peter
You have been busy, lovely work on the figures and another Greek too, well done.
And possibly some busts soon too?
The weather must be a pain at the moment, though it is supposedly summer as we have had Midsummers day this week.
Been a tough month at no. 26, with no bench or interweb due to a poorly cat, who passed away last week.
2 in 6 months, its been grim, but we have to get on as the remaining 2 girls though 14 & 15 still need us.
Enough sadness!
Looking forward to your return to busts
Hopefully you can keep your palette wet
Have fun with your next victim
regards
Steve H

Hi Steve

So sorry to hear about your loss. Sounds like you've had a rough time of it.

The busts are going very badly, I'm afraid. I find it's so important to have a perfect sculpt at the larger scale and what I've been working on has denied an acceptable finish. Also, hayfever is playing havoc with my eyes, as is the anisometropia - just can't see much and what I can see is doubled. A visit to the optician has been booked. Hope it doesn't mean surgery.
