I should note that this is also the first time I laid in the base colors using Liquitex acrylic gouache, as per Phil H's stellar SBS articles on the Spartan Hoplites and, most recently, on the Greco-Persian Wars. Phil's work is exemplary, his documentation superb, and the Liquitex paints have changed my approach to undercoating for good. 
Excellent piece. Well done.
