I think image 2/9 is of a second line unit in The Battle of France, 1940 using the Chauchat rechambered for the 7.5×54mm MAS cartridge given the magazines. From memory these used the same magazine as the FM 24/29 light machine gun. Please feel to delete this if I am in error.
