So on a totally different note a WIP sculpt that I'm doing for the APG... will be auctioned off if you are interested ......will paint this up as well -1/16th Washington's Guard 1777-one off piece .These guys had an interesting history -Washington's Personal Body Guards , were between 5'8"- 5'10" tall and handsome -selected for "sobriety, honesty, good behavior" and certainly along with their military skills. The Helmet started life as a British dragoon helmet(apparently sent to Tarleton's Legion and intercepted) Americans replaced the red or green cloth with blue.

Interestingly enough Benedict Arnold more than likely wore the scarlet faced buff coat of the 2nd Company of Connecticut Guards as the Continental Army had yet to adopt uniforms for officers.

thanks Malc
-whether that's correct or not Gary (I'm not sure ) I also needed to make the client happy who specifically asked for the blue. Artistically, personally a Scarlett faced coat would have taken away visually from the red coat of the British captain in my humble opinion. Well onwards and upwards

Sublime looking figure John, the face really stands out for me as does the way you rendered the ribbing on the woolen gloves so nicely.
Was the cut to the end of your left index finger a modelling injury?

Cheers
Steve
