Hey Guys,

I hope to not bore you all but have found pictures of some old stuff and wanted to share them with you. Here is a highlander that I did a few years back. It is 75 mm and from Benito. It was quite a painful process but I enjoyed the end results. This one is in acrylics and oils for the flesh.

That's a great job Joe.. excellent flesh tones and tartan. What's your flesh mix?

Hi Joe
I love this one.
It makes me want to keep on painting the two highlanders I have waiting for so long
Best regards
jaume

Thanks for the kind words. Xenofon I posted the flesh mixture on the German thread for you. Let me know if I can help any.

Jaume,

I would love to see you do your highlanders. I am a fan of your work and I love highlanders so I can't think of anyting better! :)

Hi Joe,

Superb painting. I love the groundwork too.
One of these weeks I'll start the Mig 90MM highlander. It will be the first time I paint Tartan, so we'll all gonna have a good laugh then.

Keep up the excellent work,

Gino

Hey Gino,

Thanks. I too have the MIG one and look forward to starting him one day but who knows when? I know you will do a nice job on the tartan, I have seen your camo. Here is a link that is for a store http://www.scottishlion.com/ that imports Scottish things. You can request the catalogs and I think they are still free. There is one with highlander wear and it has many samples of the different tartans. I have several books but use the catalog probably more than anything.

Here is a picture of what is on the ground, it is a mitra cap.
