Hello Ray. . .

Thanks for taking time to post these images, Ray. I like what you have done.
I agree that you could still develop the face tones more with a little more
contrasts, such as in the shadow areas; i.e. under the bill of his helmet
would be in shadow.

I really like the way you've painted the fierceness in his eyes. Well done.

I would like to see more of a multi-toned burnished look on the metal
design up top on the back of his helmet. The solid gold colour is OK, but
with a little darker tones and highlight tones here and there, I feel, and this
is just my personal taste speaking here, the eye appeal of this figure would
be even more dynamic.

Hi Ray, nice work!

so i guess from your OP that you may go back to it? or do you finish and move on? i try to reach a point where i'm happy enough and then walk away....

and welcome to the planet, :)

Mark

Good work Ray.
I like your decission. Finished is finished. I also do that, and taken the comments with me to the next figure.
If possible i correct just small things, but that's it.

well, the skintone is awkay, seems to be proper for Japanese, though they are not that yellow like chinese, with a drop of pale I guess...so You made it adequate for decent nationality, don't make any changes, just a proposal :)

Peace
Ralph

Many thanks for your kind comments ralph the base colour was english uniform, then add white, ocher, and a touch of cad red, giving a light skin tone. ray
