Hi guys
I did this vignette inspired on a drawing that appeared on the Nº 56 Magazine of The British Empire, where the artist was presenting, to the British public, an heroic image of their soldiers to avoid the reality of stunning defeats, at the beginning of the war...
I tried my best to make a 3D version of the scene of soldier´s drama and terrain details, as show in the drawing. I named it “The last bullet “.that was the most appropriate.
The base was done adapting real stones and building the rest with putty.
The soldiers were created using, some spare plastic parts, and over it I sculpted all the uniform and equipment details adding the arms, hands, belts, haversacks and the empty 50 round bandolier: all hand made, has well as the helmets and the water bottles .The artist was not accurate to the standing soldier uniform, so I did some changes and decide to show it as a mounted infantry man. The rifle was transformed to the Long Lee Enfield MKI model, with the opened magazine
I used acrylic Vallejo for the soldiers and terrain
All your comments are welcome
Regards
