Absolutely fantastic work. Would you mind going over for us how you painted the whites and weathered them out? I have a pile of Templars that I want to paint but I am struggling with how to do a nice subtle weathering on the white like you have. Its right on the money!

Thanks,

Mark

Andrea he looks fantastic. Both white and black are very beatifull painted and weathered. I also like the metal parts on this one. Congrats.

Stunning creation of the dirty white surcoat, one of the best i have seen, could you explain your tecnique for this ?

Steve(y)

if my sensitive dont betrayed me, I think the dirty on the surcoat are made with oils and pastels????

Awesome work Andrea!!!!

Hi,
Thanks guys for all kindly comments..really I appreciated a lot :)
@Mark,Wendy,Christos,Steve,Carl,Pedro..
I try to explain my way of painting the white.
I have published two images of my "palette" to see.. and others of my Knight.
All the colors are of the ValleyoModelColor with the code of reference, except the WOOD by AndreaColor.
I prepare my BASE composed by Black,Offwhite and Uniform English.
I add Offwhite for the lights and for the extreme lights (exemple on the shoulders of the figure) I add at the end also pure white more diluted.
For the shades I progressively add Uniform English and a small part of black.
I paint the "dirty" effect to acrylic, using the colors very diluted (photo 2)
It's a "washing" with the darkest color downward ...

I hope to be able to help you, ...and please excuse me for my bad English :(

Best regards from Italy and... happy painting! :D
Andrea
