Nice progress Andy and the quilting on the padded coat looks very good, should give the painter plenty to do.

hello
i hope it sounds not to nosy if i dare to suggest to sculpt an salade-which is an open faced helmet-for this figure.
the hood i would suggest should then be left hanging over the back.
the english archers where quite good equipped and most did posses at least an humble made headpiece.
if they where .livery archers say belonging to the followers of an noble they often had excellent armour as clothing.
so if its an livery archer he may be better equipped.
but its possible to to stay at an hood only.
then he might be not in frontline duty why not.
an helmet would create an more interesting look in my oppinion.
last but not least i like your sculpting as painting an lot
an japanese ww2 officer wielding an katana might be an nice idea.....:)

Really nice work. I like seeing the progress shots as they help me with my own rudimentary sculpting efforts. I have a soft spot for archer figures. Will this be available commercially when it's finished?

Hello All,
A change was made on the coat and the cape has been added. The folds are time consuming and need careful attention.comments welcome.

hello
surely one i will grab when released.looks good so far,iam interested if he will wear an helmet or an potheaded haircut.
cheers

Fine looking bust (y). Even if it's not my "era", one can appreciate terrific sculpting none the less. I like the 2 finger salute, even if not based 100% on fact. Of course, we Englishmen, on the "other side of the pond" modified this to a simple one finger salute  :D. LOL, I look forward to seeing this completed Andy.

Nice idea to go with the added hood mate and nice work on the folds, real nice bit of character to this one.

Hello All,
Got a casting back of the archers head and have started modelling the Sallet. It took some careful attention as this helmet has some subtle curves. The holes have been pilot drilled ready for the rivets.
comments welcome,
Andy
