Here I am again my friends,
just finished this beautiful figure from Alpine,
as a Greek I love the Greek history thats why I choose to represent a Greek soldier from the war in Korea.
Greece send in that war a battalion as a UN force and stayed there 3 years. The Hellenic Force (official name) fought mostly against the Chinese forces and the greatest battle was at the Outpost Harry fighting side by side with American troops.
They Held.

Christos, an interesting subject and something we don't see a lot of.
Excellent painting and great work on the base. (y)

Cheers Ken

Truly Christos, very - very nice ... Nice detailed figure (with uniform and helmet patches) and groundwork.
I like your historical reference too.

Ken and Theodore thank you very much for your comments.
The Greeks called that post "Harros" which means in our language Charon or Death.

Great painting Chris. My grandfather served in Korea as a doctor so i ve heard quite some stories. Well done again.

Excellent looking figure Christos, i did not realise Greece sent troops to Korea, its good when you learn something new from a figure.

I didn't either, but I suppose they were part of the UN.
Great piece, and an unusual subject,
Carl.

Hi Christos.....

You are fast I haven't even got this new release delivered yet you already completed...
Very nice subtle painting with beautiful face... simple but very spot on

Hi Christos,

Very nice.

It looks like the figure has a 3rd US Infantry Division patch on. Does the greek Army have a similar patch?

Thanks,

I want to thank you all for your feedbacks,

Mike you are absolutelly right about that patch, the Greek force (a battalion, 6 companies) at Korea was attached to the 3rd Infantry Division / 15th Infantry Regiment and fought as a part of that formation that's why they all were that patch.

Greece also has send the 13th Flight Squadron (Hellenic Royal Air Force, consisting of C-47 Dakota's).

Here are some photos,
