Hi Gang
Bought this at Telford from Bonapartes at Telford IPMS Nationals last year, Its a little beauty!
I am disappointed that the tunic I painted in red oil has left a slight sheen despite being in the "cooker" for 3/4 hours! if anybody can recommend a good spray Matt varnish I would be grateful

I have "weathered" the helmet to give him a bit of "after the battle look"

Comments always welcome, Good or bad!

Cheers

John

To get rid of the shine on the red you can try the following trick what worked for me.
Make a wash of the red oilpaint. Apply it on the figure.
Let dry into a drybox for at least a whole night. I did it in my drybox with a 100 W lightbulb.

Hi John,
Hannets do a very good flat coat, testers is not that easy to get hold of it comes from the good old U.S.
Nice work by the way.

Great job youv'e done here john,i saw this on the bonapartes stand at euro last year and was very tempted to buy it,i will add this to the xmas list this year i think.

Great title youv'e chosen as well, words spoken by the late Nigel Green / Colour Sergeant Bourne.

Youre all going to die :(
Brian

PS - Try using some flat base mixed in with your paint to eliminate the sheen
