Seasons Greetings,
This is a start on a federal Drummer boy bust in 1/10.The drum sticks are cast in whitemetal but most is magicsculp. The drum was turned down from a PVC plumbing fitting and the tension ropes then attached.Still a way to go.comments welcome.

Andy , an excellent start, great pose and nice work onthe drum. Looking forward to seeing his uniform develope , are you going for a kepi or a hardee style of hat. ?

Cheers Ken

Very very promising bust pose. From the last pic, the left hand lower limb seems a little longer than the right. Not obvious. This is going to be a great figure.

Hello All,
Some more work to the bust.Details to the drum belt such as the brass( turned Ali) drumstick holders on the front. The heart shaped hook brace for the drum.
Texture has been added to the water bottle although not easy to see at this angle.
I stumbled across a technique to give a leather texture to the pack.First lay out the magicsculp to suit, then dab with talcum powder(this is a parting agent all will become clear)Next take some fine steel wool .Tighten it .then dab or lightly press wool on desired area. The powder will free the action of the steel wool, however some fibres will stick. These can easily be removed with a wire brush once the magicsculp has set.
Will send more pics later.
comments welcome.

Lovely sculpt Andy, the twist to the body giving him that sideways glance is very nice as is the work on the young looking face/head.
