I wanted to show how i sculpt a figure, there are lots of great sculptors out there who do things differently but i hope this will go someway towards helping anyone just starting out. I managed over the years to find some techniques which may be useful.I`ll post some pictures as i find time, more of a retrospective than a WIP.

Great figure Maurice, you seem to have a soft spot for Task Force Black stuff. I love it and I'd love to see how you sculpt these masterpieces.

Thanks

Amazing sculpting!
I even think I want this figure.
Indeed professional technique.
I'd like also to see a work by all means your next time.

Mitsutaka.

My first stage in a sculpt is to decide on subject matter and then to gain the informaion i need on weapons equipment and uniform, i find the internet to be invaluable in this respect.I decided to sculpt a Trooper of the SAS, a member of task force black Photos are scarce but there are a few and from studying them i managed to find the relevant information on the equipment used and the weapons they are carrying.
I posted a couple here, they are photos within the public domain so are safe enough to post, i have some others which i can email to anyone who wants them,.
