VEry good paintwork.
Some more weathering will do him good.
The bodyarmour was from februari 1915 till december 1916. It was then that the general's where agree that the body armour made the Stromtrooper slower then without on the assault.
It was made of steel. So you have to change the titel into 1916 and made it look like steel.
As for the steelhelmet: Camouflage paint was not formally introduced until July 1918, when German Army Order II, No 91 366, signed by General Erich Ludendorff on 7 July 1918, outlined official standards for helmet camouflage. The order stipulated that helmets should be painted in several colors, separated by a finger-wide black line. The colors should be relevant to the season, such as using green, brown and ochre in summer.
Writing this you have to make your steelhelmet grey.

Very nicely done - full of character, can't agree with Marc, the year and WW1 Imp German equipment seem correct to my eye, eg : 1918.IMO.

Very nicely done. I think I am going to have to add this one to the figures I am collecting for a dio. Oh and I have to respectfully disagree with Marc, the sappenpanzer (bodyarmor) was in use until the end of the war, though it had fallen out of favor with the stosstruppen for the reason Marc states and it painted a greygreen and not left bare steel. Also, while the camo on the helmet wasn't standardized until 1918, it was in use earlier.

Im no ww1 expert so I can only comment on your painting witch I think is VERY GOOD !!!
The only thing I may add if you dont mind is if it was on a base with a little more going on, it might set the figure off better .
