Hello Planeteers,

here is my new figure on my workbench.

It is the excellent celtic standard bearer from Pegaso (ref 54-133)

the figure is very well cast and there is a very few work to assembly it.

After primed it with GWS skull white I begin to work the metallic part with vallejo acrylics and oils for the shadows.

the clothes received their first colours in oils.

I began the scenery with a piece of wood root

I try to make a "celtic" drawing on the lower part of the shirt.

the lines on the trousers is a piece of bravour!! (it take me 2 sessions)

the cloak is finished

the tree was cut down, because it seems me too unrealistic, now there is only the tree stump on place!!

the standard and the sword are ready to be placed

@Marc, do you mind I have to make a thin line between the white of the eye and the under eyelid, or under the under eyelid?? (english isn't my cup of tea!!)

You make a thin line between the white of the eye and the under eyelid. I do it with a wash.
I believe you paint with acrylic, so a cadmium umber red (vallejo) mixed with your skincolor will do.
For more definition you can underline under the under eyelid with a shadecolor of your skincolor.

the following of the work

I try to assembly the arm and hand with the standard but the "stick" don't fit exactlly so I remade it but I have to repaint them.

Everything is just perfect.
I've always liked this model and now you just made me to paint it. :)

here it is finally!!

a great great pleasure to paint this figure, the first celt for me.
I hope you enjoy it!!

Photos were too fuzzy (my little son put his fingers on the objective!!) , tonight the right one!!
