Beautiful painting Nick. May I suggest that you "plant" the boots deeper into the snow so the figure has some weight. It will look more natural than if he's standing on top of the snow.

Hendryk, there were many different shades of gray from light to dark is almost white, standard color steel, and its color depends on the burn in the sun and wiping, and from the different shade of dye entering the plant for production of uniforms.
