How many clichés can you put in one figure . Well I supose I've done my best . The sculpting ended some time ago. And now painting is finished.
Mother of all pirates was inspired by the concept art of W. Disneys imageneer Marc Davies who created the Pirates world as we know it now . This figure shows a rather heavy weight female pirate sitting on a canon celebrating the good news with a lot of rum.
In her hand a treasure map , where X marks the spot ( how cliché can you go ). And around her enough to drink. A parot on her shoulder makes it complete. She even has a tattoo.
Sculpting was done using green stuff modeling putty . The canon is a piece from Beneneito miniatures .
Bottles and crate are from resicast . The bottles are from Verlinden and historex .
Painting was done using Valleijo acryl paints as basecolors . And oils to finish. The pink is not that easy to use , a lot of layers are necessary to get the effect .
I wanted to get that grotesque look .
I hope you like it .
