Hello folks , i was itchy to prep this figure. the size is 90mm and is my first Almond Sculptures figure.
the kit is really good wih great details ,i did minor mods to modify this head into a fusilier's head, without mustaches, i also got rid of the sideburns ,added a plume to the "casque" and got rid of the grenade badges on the coat's turnbacks and curls for the wig .
I made such changes to resemble a sergeant of "Les Blancs" as they were called , still preserving the "neatness" of the Ancien Regime since King Louis XVI was still on his throne.
For this regiment the facings were Sky Blue and white coat as for the rest of the Army .

I think i will go for a warm white on the coat as usual , warm white ( Vallejo deck tan) for the vest and pants and a "cold" white for the gaiters.

Sounds good , as an oil painter i am not familiar with these shades but will look them up and adapt them to oil tones for future reference .

Ron ,i laid the basetone for the vest, pants in deck tan ,the coat is a mix from the website El groco miniatures that stephen malia (Slaj) painted on a white tunic.
The mis you couls dee it on the paint tray and consist of Vallejo Ivory , pale sand ,japanese uniform and a dab of black.
I like the difference between graments.
cheers
