Hi!

This wonderful resin bust that I bought from Steve at Euro is the finest piece Ive ever seen, everything is perfect and the likeness are truly amazing. Very recommended!
The face have the basic fleshtones, and the eyes are near finished only have to correct the right pupil and the sunlight on the left pupil to.
Sorry for the lousy pics.:oops:
This bust was sculpted based in the picture of Mr.Peiper in Austria in 1945 according to my sources and again is a remarkable work. Thanks for this top notch piece Life Miniatures.(y)
Pedro

Hello Pedro, Nice start to Peiper. Going by your third photo, keeping the shadows on the lighter side seem to really bring out the likeness of Peiper to a high degree. I also have this bust and agree with you, it is an exceptional piece. Good luck with its completion. Watching with interest. Regards, SG(y)

Hi guy´s you are all very kind.:joyful:
Painting a real person is extremely difficult anyway we have to try in the best way we can.:)
@SG hello, thank you for your comment and i´m very happy that you follow this thread, thanks!(y)
@Hi Carl, thank you glad that you like my friend.
@Hi Carlos, thanks for the words man. Yes a freaking stunning sbs, but unfortunately is not my kind of technique, I wish I could painting like that.:)(y)
@Hi Joe, thanks and I´m happy because you wanna a follow this project.(y)
@Hi Pete we will see about that...thanks for your words.(y)
@Hi Marc, thought I will saw you at Euro:( maybe next year?! Thank you!
@Hello Alex, this bust worth every penny. Thanks!(y)
@Hi my friend from Donostia. Eduardo you´re right this is a complex brushwork. Gracias!(y)
@Hi Mike, thanks mate!(y)
@Hi Adrian, thanks buddy!(y)

The adventure continues, and like I mention previously is hard paint a real person, is not my first, but is always complicated.
Well I thought a lot about posting a sbs, maybe what you going to see stay far from your expectations but this is the technique that I use and get satisfactory results quick an easy.
This is wet on wet technique, developed by Verinden that you can see in many books. Oils over acrylics.
More or less 5hours to achieve this result, because in every light you stop for almost 45 minutes for the blending process.
This is positive because in this time you can do anything that you want.
Sincerely I hope you understand and like what you see, hoping this will be a value help for anyone who is starting with oils and wants to learn fast.
The head is still fresh, the oils must be let to dry, I know the skin color maybe are different than the real but this was the best I can do at this moment.

Pedro.
