Hi Everyone,

Well, he's done. Thought I'd post the finished figure in its own thread.

I'm not so happy with the pictures. Somehow the contrast is reduced in them. I've played around with lamps and backgrounds, but I didn't get them better than this. Maybe I'll try to make some in natural light.

Glad he's done. Now on the next one!

Hope you like him.

Cheers,
Adrian

Glad to see this guy finished up. Your best piece to date, sir. Top notch stuff all around. What's next?

Hello Adrian, Excellent work. Nice to see it all come together for you. The painting and color choices make your GI very authentic and realistic. Regards, SG(y)

Great figure(y) I didn't see anything wrong with the pictures. Not only do I also wish I could paint as good as you, but I wish I could get my pictures to come out like that.

Great work!

A figure I also would like to paint if one day I can get hold of one ..

Hi Stephen, thanks a lot. Glad to hear I'm still on a learning curve! Next up? Not sure yet, I have a couple of things at the bench: the Afghan girl bust and a Laruccia Roman. Maybe I'll start something new... :-P

Hello Martin, thank you very much. Glad you like my painting of this one.

Thanks John. Some of the credits for the colours should go to Vallejo: I used US Field Drab for the US field drab trousers :)

Hi Carl, many thanks!

Thanks a lot SG! Glad to hear you think he looks realistic.

Hi Christos, thanks!

Thanks T34/85. Well, I think the pics look ok now that I see them posted, but I think the lighting or my camera's white balance
Settings were slightly off. He has a slight yellowish tone and less contrast than in reality. I find making nice pictures of figures is about as hard as painting them...

Hi Monty1st: Thanks!

Thank you Tutilo17. I think they are pretty hard to get. I can recommend the figure, but it needs some attention, because the arms look weird, way too big. Easy to correct however with a little scraping of resin...

Thanks Nick!

Thank you Grant, glad you like him.

Thanks a lot Mike (both of you!)

Glad to get so much response, comments and likes). Very encouraging!

BTW, I now note that I posted some pics twice. Not sure how that happened, but knowing computers it must be my fault :-/

Cheers,
Adrian
