We have had this available for a few weeks but here is the official launch of this figure in time for the Christmas stocking

It is a 75mm figure of Arthur Wellesley before the battle of Assaye reviewing the Maratha encampment.

I agree with Colin. I think the face is the figure's weak point, and the teeth are reminiscent of those ape-featured Verlinden pieces from the '90s. Otherwise it's a nice sculpt and an interesting subject.

Very nice sculpture of an unusual British officer which is great. But unless the pix are deceiving me I'm not sure that Alan has caught Wellington's (or Wellesley's) famous hooky nose.

Thanks.for the comment guys, as for the nose the figure is only 75mm high and could be the pictures angle.

For the younger ones :
At that time he is General, and the battle of Assaye, is in 1803 in India
Later he will become Duke of Wellington
 
Just a friendly poke to remind everyone that this figure along with the others from the Assaye set will be making their first appearance at Euro in a few weeks time.
