Hi guys,

I thought you might like to see my latest conversion, based on MMMs VC winner, George Allan Mitchell.

I have been asked by my cousin to paint a figure representing her father in law's regiment during the second world war, 39-45. Not intended to be a portrait of the actual person, rather a representation of the uniform, this was based on MMMs figure, which was the closest I could find in this scale (A massive thanks to Ross at MMM for his swift response to my inquiry, top bloke!)

The original is grey, my additions and modifications are in green Miliput, Duro and fabric tape, with a slight reworking to the face and the angle of the head (just to make it different, not because it needs it!).

The bust is still awaiting a new cap badge, when I get round to it, along with the paint!

Thanks for looking,

Steve(y)

Thanks Barrie - Im really enjoying doing this one! Not looking forward to the tartan patches, but the fabric tape aids painting no end!

Hi guys,

almost there with this one, just some final tidying and the addition of a suitable nameplate. Many thanks, Barrie, for supplying suitable decals for the shoulder flashes - I don't think I could have done them by hand! Tartan patches hand done, though! All done in enamels.

hope you like it,

Steve(y)

Cheers, thanks guys - I've really enjoyed doing this one.

Nap - Id hoped to do some fancy stripes, but this guy only had a crown in a wreath on the cuffs - shame, that!
