Here is my version of Pegaso's 54mm Knight of the Holy Sepulchre, painted with acrylics and weathered with pigments. This is a fantastic sculpt, so it's no surprise that there are a lot of versions of this figure on this site and elsewhere online. I stuck with the Holy Sepulchre version, following the historical color scheme with a few embellishments. Instead of red for the crosses I went with more of a purple, which I used on the horse furniture as well. The historical color scheme leads to a lot of empty white space, so I worked in some patterns/designs into the cape border and the background of the banner to add a little more visual interest. The kit also comes with a nose guard for the helmet, but it is large and blocks the view of a really well sculpted face, so I decided to leave it off. To contrast with all of the white on the knight, I decided to paint a blue-black horse. It may have ended up a bit more blue roan than black, but either way I think it works well next to the white and purple.

I started this figure back in 2013, so it's been a long term project. If you are curious on how this all came together, check out the work in progress threads. I included a lot of information on the colors and a few step by step descriptions as well.

Outstanding work Bailey!!

Loved watching the WIP on this one, and reading all of your methods on painting it.

Brilliant!

Absolutely great piece! A true inspiration!
Everything came together very, very well!
Love the groundwork and the integration!
Thanks a lot for sharing your "hocus-pocus" in those great SBS's! :)
Cheers,

Fantastic finish.
Great paintwork on a beautifully sculpted figure. Your subtle design work really made this piece unique and definitely a "Bailey". Glad you kept the weathering minimal and didn't mar your paintwork with too much dust and dirt... just enough to give context.
As always your in progress threads were very informative.

Dying to see what your next piece is.

Colin
