200mm SS Machine Gunner

Hi all
I have just finished this commission job of PMC's resin Machine Gunner. Sculpted by John Rosengrant, It is a very nice figure with the MG42 being a work of art on its own. The only alteration was to add the strap for the gun.
Mainly painted in oils

Well mate that another superb paint job on a truly epic figure. Personally, I'd like to see a bit more dirt and grime on those clean white pants, but that's just me.

Itfigures was the name I started with years ago and I couldnt log on with it, so had to start a new name (figurelover, and yes I hate the name too, if only I could change it).

Anyway, thanks for looking, as for the grime etc, I agree, but the client has got off really cheaply with this one so just did a basic weathering on him.

Hi Paul,
Good to hear from you again and glad you like him. Its a great kit and well worth the effort in painting him up.
I used and airbrush for the base coat of his jacket and pants, using Tamiya paints. I did a little bit of shading to get some depth into them, and then went over in oils to get some deeper shading and colour variations. Being a larger kit, this is my preference to eliminate any brush strokes in the base coat
