Hello folks,
I am experimenting with a new scale for me, these 28mm figures are from Perry miniatures.
I love the details and poses on these, too bad they are not 40mm.
I will start with an officer and standard bearer of the Armagnac Regiment, this regiment took part in the expedition to Savannah which ended up in an almost failure.
I am.planning to use a single base of 12x12 to depict one of the encounters with the Brits, i will include more regiments along the way but just working on these 2 to test the waters.
I am still working on my Yorktown diorama, so this will be a long project to be completed in the future.
Cheers

I had a feeling the Perry AWI French would eventually seduce you! Your painting style should be very compatable with these gems, and you already are familiar with the uniforms. I see another stellar project in the making, Daniel!

You are absolutely right Don, i was contemplating those Perry French figs for quite a while, and finally i decided to give it a try.
Like i was mention it before, i wish perry had these Frenchies of the AWI in 40mm, i'll be the happies man alive.
I am also thinking of adding Eureka figs from the early French Revo. To these project.,i will have to order few to test the size.
Glad to see you here, i have not seen you on facebook lately.
Hope all is well.
Best regards

This is a great size for diorama purposes and sculptors are doing a much better job making well porportioned figures compared to the figures of the past.I think if your eyes hold up you may even prefer them over the 40's (which I doubt.).Good luck and will keep my eyes on this too.(y)

Thanks Mark!.
I think the 40mm size it is better for Historical display when you want to create a diorama with several figures since these 28mm are kinda small and hard to see details as much as the bigger scales.
I hope the 40mm ranges will continue to grow on the miniature market.
Best regards
