Hi guys!

I show you the last diorama made by Antonio Zapatero and me. It has won a gold medal at the Euromilitaire Contest 2015.

I really hope you enjoy it.

Well of course, since you didn't indicate the scale. . . I'm
not sure just what I am looking at, regarding these beautiful
photographs. However, that aside, this incredible piece,
this vignette/diorama, for me as I see it, is another
excellent example of how this hobby, in the hands of a true
artist, can be raised to the point of becoming a "work of art"
. . . This piece belongs in a museum. Just incredible. . . A work of art!

Rick, the size is 75mm, per a post I saw yesterday on Facebook. This depicts a scene from the Battle of Jersey in 1781 (I think) that was immortalized in an epic painting (look up Battle of Jersey on Wikipedia for more info). Zapatero and Gil have captured a portion of the painting in spectacular fashion. Outstanding work!!

A perfect rendition of the centre piece of the original painting.
Jaw-droppingly brilliant.

Cheers,
Andrew

Of all the pics I saw of the show entries... this one jumped out and slapped me in the face. EXQUISITE!!!!!! PERFECT!!!! Everything a diorama should be. To hear it wasn't BOS was a surprise.

No question for the gold... maybe even two.

Bravo *standing ovation* well done

Colin

A masterpiece that could well have been the BOS.
In addition I am lucky to have the two authors as friends

This is such a stunning piece, brilliantly executed, well deserving its Gold award, and would have been a very popular BOS. I am somewhat dismayed by some of the judging this year........and I have no vested interest:angelic:
