No pics tonight as all I did last night was spray on a flat coat to even out the finish. I'm hoping to get the metals done tonight so that I can make a start on the quick-release stencilling tomorrow (not looking forward to that, I imagine it'll involve a lot of swearing)

absolutely cracking paintjob!!!!!!. the only swearing should be b****y marvelous
I got the metals done last night. I stuck with my plan of mixing the silver printer's ink with neutral greys and I'm quite pleased with how they came out.
I also had a go at the stencilling on the quick release plate tonight. After several unsuccessful attempts at trying to do individual teeny tiny letters, accompanied by lots of swearing, I concentrated on getting the arrow right and then just "hinted" at the lettering with some well placed tiny squiggles. Hopefully anyone who looks closely at it hasn't got their x20 magnifying lenses with them
Anyhoo, what do you think? Not much to do now \o/

I really like what you've done with the cable and I think it actually looks better that the headset cable included in the kit, I'm going to order some plusmodel lead wire for mine and do the same.
