Look for tungsten or fluorescent daylight bulbs, but like Malc says, LEDs seem to be the standard now. The advantage being they run off low voltage and dont give off any heat..!(y)

I can highly recommend the products from this company. www.craftlights.co.uk. I have a desk standing lamp and two floor standing lamps (Models 1258 and 1289) and they flood my desk with what is very close to natural light. They all have a 27 Watt full spectrum 6400k daylight tube. They also do a lamp with built in magnifier. There is some cheap alternative stuff around on Amazon etc but where light is concerned my recommendation is buy something of quality and you wont be disappointed.

If you live anywhere near Chesterfield you are welcome to come and take a look.
