Hello friends
I started my third sculpt and I want a feedback from you.
I work on Serbian officer from Serbian independence wars 1876-1878.
During that wars Serbia gain independence from Ottoman Empire.
Serbian army was divided in two categories :standing army (professional army) and people army (every able man from 18-40 years old).Serbian army was backed up by a great number of volunteers from Russia (most famous is colonel Nikolai Rayevski who was made immortal by Tolstoy as Vronski from "Ana Karenina" classic novel),Bulgaria ,Croatia ,Italy (Garibaldi volunteers),Austro Hungarian officers,Romania,Great Britain (Henry MacIver was most famous and made to the rank colonel and had a command on Morava and Timok army calvary. He wrote about his expirience in book "Under 14 flags"
I try to make a officer from standing army with his left leg on rock ,pipe in left hand and map in his right hand.

Yet again pictures are awful.

Great start, Dejan! (y) The top of the head seems a bit small to me but I guess that it will be covered by the cap so it doesn't really matter.

Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

All the best,
Elia :)

A wonderful subject and very rare indeed.you have made a fantastic start. Many Serbian volunteers took part in Greece's war of independence against the Ottoman empire in 1821 and I have the greatest respect for them.I can't wait to see him finished.I would like a favour Dekiman, please send me a PM with the full details about the two books about the Serbian army in the wars of independence and the 1st world war.Extremely interesting.

Oda.
