I've always liked this figure, the pose and clothing convey a lot. I like your use of pastels, you don't use them on afv's do you by any chance?

Ralph, which pastels/weathering powder do you use on your figures and afv's for that matter, ones specifically for modelling or normal drawing ones ground to dust?

However earlier this year I bought 3 of the Vallejo weathering powders and intend to buy a few more as I find them very good.

Cheers Ralph. I might just give the Vallejo ones a try myself. I'm planning a visit to the model shop in Ripon sometime soon and I think they have them.

.I think I'm getting used to using the pastels on figures now.
As for the dozer it took about 3 weeks to do.Each individual track link had 3 parts to them

I know some modellers who shall remain nameless who have "borrowed" their good ladies makeup eye powders/ blushers etc for use on the bench!...lol
3 parts per link ...your as mad as a bucket of frogs mate ...lol ..... Complete busts don't have that many on some !

Terrific painting, love it. I will have to try some of those pastels, I've used AK stuff and it looks and feels grainy, perhaps it's more suited to AFV's.

.The 3 Vallejo powders that I have used are real smooth.
And of course pastels can be as rough or smooth as you like.
