Hello everyone!
I decided to put on display the second bust that I painted.
Paul Boomer-the protagonist of the first novel by Remarque "All quiet on the Western front."
The inscription on the wooden stand reproduces the title page of the first edition of the novel 1928.
It is written in ink on a temperamental layer.
Barbed wire is made from copper wire of 0.4 mm, and painted with tempera.
"Our hands - earth, our bodies are the clay, and our eyes - rain puddles. We do not know, alive if we still."
I suppose, those who was stunned by this novel as I was stunned by it when I was 14, will understand what I wanted to depict.
