Hello folks.....think I'll call this one just about completed.....maybe a couple of tweaks....it's my version of MMM....200mm British drummer......another great sculpt from Carl Reid....
It's a massive piece and if you like this big scale there is plenty for you to go at.... I made a slight conversion to the fence.......and discarded the poles......thanks for looking.... Mike

Excellent job Mike. Working this one up now for a late fall or winter project. The yellows look very good. I always dread yellows. Really like the fences changes. Did you have any problems getting him to lean properly against the new fence? I am guessing that you did some fill work across the back of his legs.
 
Painting at this scale is really hard particularly when you want to ensure depth and contrast.
Your work on this piece shows what can be done by a painter at the top of his game.
