I’m currently on a nostalgia trip with Chota Sahib, Cheshire Volunteer and Hornet figures on the bench.
Won this one in a club raffle recently.
It's a Cheshire Volunteeer white metal 54mm figure of a Corporal of the 3rd Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment in Beirut, 1983. Like all CV figures it’s beautifully cast and stands the test of time against most current figures.
The French formed part of the Multi National Force (MNF) in Beirut in the 1980s and you can find some of the history of the Regiment HERE, and of the MNF HERE.
The fuel drum is a plastic one I had in the spares box, and the sandbags are Milliput.
Painting is a mixture of enamels, acrylics and oils (mainly as washes).
Hope you like it but, if you have any criticism, feel free to let rip.
Cheers,
Andrew
