Yes it increases the number of known actives brands from 1450 to 1451
So I give you al link listing those brands with inside the file direct link to those brands + links to garage brands , toy soldiers brands, girlies brands, uniforms ( more tahn 10000 pictures in those links ) etc .... juste be curious
Also another list about physicals shops in the world
I've also noticed that the French WW1 officers tunics seem to be of a much darker shade of blue (especially in the earlier stages of the war) than the normal horizon blue. I guess this is down to the quality of the cloth and the dye use? Any tips on painting those types of uniform?
    Cheers mate

    Hi Mike
Cheers mate ,I noticed when you did the Mori figure you had a bright yellow undercoat on the leather jerkin , was that to get the leather effect , if so I am thinking of doing the same on a bust I am doing for a school in Normandy .

Yep used bright yellow to help show translucent leather effect & undertones. Also use orange or bright tan.
    Hope that helps mate.

    Hi Mike,

Just got this and no didn't know about Wingnut but I do know Richard, haven't been in touch with him for years but you won't need a referral mate. Richard has been associated with a model shop in Wellington (his & Pete Jackson's home town) called ModelCrafts and Hobbies. You'll find them online, from memory he was managing it. I know of other NZ modellers who have commission work for Pete J and he is a passionate collector of all things WW1, so I'm guessing an approach by you could be welcome. I'd send through a portfolio of your work on WW1 pilots & would not be surprised if you could get some business out of this.

I'll do some more follow ups locally as I know who painted the "Little Contempible" dios, saw those some months back but was sworn to secrecy.

If I can help in any way sing out,

Hey, great to hear from you too!

    Take care,
    Mike

    Hello Mike,

I hope this message gets to you and you are happy and well!

The reason for this message is because of this very intriguing stuff that was just announced out of New Zealand just over a week ago.

    http://wingnutwings.com/ww/

If you look in the "resin figures" and "customer models" sections, you will see that these people have turned out a lot of figures.

Wingnut Wings is a company started by Peter Jackson of "Lord of the Rings" fame. Apparently he is really into this stuff and has poured large piles of cash into a relatively limited interest hobby.

If none of this rings a bell with you, here is another avenue:the principle person in Wingnuts is a fellow Kiwi (from Wellington) by the name of Richard Alexander. Any bells ringing yet?

I figure since WWI pilots has been a specialty of mine for the past few years, it could not hurt to stick my foot inside the door.

    Cheers!!

    Mike Good
