    Hello Dan,

Long time no correspondence... I am now doing a 54mm model of a wwi British tunneller wearing proto breathing equipment. I can't seem to get any pics of what the skull cap looks like, front and back and also how the back of the original proto gas cylinders are fixed. I am looking for detailed pics of two gas cylinders. Would y happen to have any?

    Great News Dan,

I'm in Canada, so USPS First Class Mail International is the way to go. If you wish just send me an invoice for the total to [email protected] thru Paypal it's my personal email and tied to my Paypal account.

    Regards,

    Gary
Dan: Work on an SBS with the next figure. May be awhile before I start a new one. I work about 80miles from my home so I'm not sclupting as much. In the painting section is another completed 1/16th marine "incoming"

I don't believe so. The account of their manufacture and painting in the chapter "The Adrian Helmet", in Laurent Mirouze and Stephane Dekerle's, The French Army, Vol. 2. doesn't mention a primer. It mentions a couple different ways of applying the paint, some changes in color and changes in the paint baking process, but no primer. I hope this answers your question.

    All the best,
    Dan
    Hi Dan,

I'm making good progress on MBF. When I've got it to a sufficiently good state I'll post some pics on pF.

Hello Dan, thanks for the message, have had a look at your webpage and your figures are great are old contempatble pieces commercially availiable?, i am currently painting S&T productions Luftwaffe feild division (anzio Nettunno) but have just ordered the JMD WW1 scottish infantryman (looks like he might be a gordon highlander), as i seem to have a taste for ww1 subjects at the moment, thanks for accepting the freinds request, i know its a strange thing for grown men to ask one another but i wanted to stay in touch, hope you are well chap

    Best Regards

    Hi Dan,

All Quiet on the Western Front?

I am reading Band of Brigands (about WWI Tank warfare). Kenneth bought an expensive Schiffer book on photos of German trench life.

    Hi Dan,

Thanks for posting a pic of my Monash bust on the GWF. I'm not a member of this forum but it looks very interesting and a potentially great source of reference.

I'm looking forward to seeing your latest pics of Man's Best Friend. Can't wait to get my brushes on to 'im.

    Cheers

Marc - Of course I remember you, my friend. I still consider you a friend and always take a look at your painting anytime you post it on PF. Artists are allowed differences of opinion. We don't have to agree on everything. :) I'm away from home working in Kansas City, Missouri about 3 hours drive from Omaha. I'll be back in town Thursday evening and will check the web site out. Many thanks!

Right now I'm scuffling with two Poilus - one is a commission - an 1880s period French Foreign Legionnaire and the other is a Chasseur Alpins from 1915. I'll try to send or post some WIP photos soon. I'm making two rifles for these figures as well as a lot of field equipment.

    All the best,
    Dan
