Completed Chasseur D'Alpin 1914 [Metal Modeles]

A great looking "Diables bleus" or 'Blue Devil!' Always good to see mountain troopers. Berg Heil, Patrick

    New Andrea Miniatures

Awesome work on both figures. The Sledge Racer reminds me of Winston Churchill, plus great expressions on the kid and dog. The lovely pin-up girl figure captures the essence of the 1940's style along the likes of Alberto Vargas and Gil Elvgren. Both kits look to be winners. Horrido! Patrick

Completed Critique LB Miniatures Fallschirmjager Bust finals on page 5

Grüß Di' Mark, Excellent work on this FJ bust. Love the face! My only critique is that I've never seen a FJ "bonesack" (jump smock) in LW Blue-gray...it should be in either olive-green or camo (splinter or marsh pattern). I would highly recommend Robert Kurtz's book "German Paratroops"...

    WIP German Gunner MG34 1/12

Grüß Di' Andy, Great looking sculpt!!! Look forward to seeing it finished. One critique though...the water bottle is hanging too low. It should be clipped to the D-ring on the breadbag. Check out this link: http://www.mp44.nl/equipment.htm Horrido! Patrick

Review Gebirgsjager from Elan 13 Miniatures

Grüß Di' Kevin und Bergkameraden, Great review of the Elan 13 Gebirgsjäger bust...a subject near and dear to me. I will definitely get this figure. I'll add my two cents worth as a historian, researcher and collector of Gebirgsjäger militaria. Rob has done a great job with the Windjacke, but...

    German PPSH magazine pouches?

The guy in the foreground of the first photo posted is wearing the same red-checked shirt...these are very typical Bavarian style shirts.

    German PPSH magazine pouches?

Taesung - Yes, that's me during a climb up to 10,000 feet elevation in the French Alps in period uniform and equipment for the reenactment event 'Project Edelweiss 2010." Hope to do it again next summer in the Swiss Alps. As for the shirt, it was very common for German soldiers to wear...

    German PPSH magazine pouches?

Servus Taesung und Kameraden, Glad to be of assistance. I've been researching and collecting original 1:1 scale militaria, as well as reenacting with this stuff for a long time. This helps me to get firsthand knowledge on how things work and go together. Berg Heil und Horrido! Patrick
  11. Heeresbergführer

    German PPSH magazine pouches?

Grüß Di' Kameraden, The pouches are not modified. What you are seeing in this photograph is a common practice used by Landsers. This Landser is not wearing the normal "Y-straps" usually seen on German soldiers. He is making use of the shoulder strap that comes with the bread bag by attaching...

    WIP Critique Steiner buste 1/6

Re: new buste 1/9 Greetings René , Great work on the headsculpt so far. Could be a big seller to the 1/6th scale action figure community just as the head. Dragon models put out an action figure of Corporal Steiner. Here's an example of what can be done with these 1/6th scale figures...

    german smoke grenade ww2

Grüß Di' Pava, I asked the artist, Dmytro Zgonnik...who did the box-art, what the item is. It's a typical German 1-liter Steinkrug (stoneware mug) for beer...appropriate for this time of year...Oktoberfest!!! Looks like the mug got a bit flattened in the sculpting/model making process...

    german smoke grenade ww2

What figure is that from? It doesn't look like a smoke grenade to me. Do you have some box art for this? Might be able to figure out what it is suppose to be. Horrido! Patrick

How to upload a video for blondes

Grüß Di' Karina Well at least you don't have to work with my camera assistant (the gray bearded one)...he doesn't have strong thumbs or a prehensile tail, but does have a strong back and carries me around. Patrick
