I think a "true" horizon blue must be one of the most challenging colors to paint historically accurately.

I also have the utmost respect for guys from any country serving in Iraq and Afganistan. I have a family member serving. I certainly couldn't do it.

Ummmmmm....... I don't know if its just the photographs but the blue seems really bright and strong. Almost too blue.

Yeah the older Bonapartes pieces have that "porcerlain" feel to them. Cold to the touch as well.

Do many people still use cold cast resin these days? I've love all the old figures I'm getting at the moment from company's like Celtic Miniatures & Bonapartes. The casting is so crisp and clear. Some are almost too good to paint!

I don't really blame people for not wanting to part with them unless they had a spare or it was not their historic period of interest. I suppose many people like to collect them and not paint them. They are excellent castings. I really like the cold cast resin busts.

Just found this bust. Looks like it could be a Bonapartes bust but I can't find it in my reference list I got from De Tara. Could it be a Celtic Models bust?
