New Master For Medieval Half Timbered Building

Todays progress I raised the windows it seems to be a common feature to have the ground floor windows up high it let in light but was a bit more secure. I may drop the larger window. I need to think about it.

New Master For Medieval Half Timbered Building

I guess I should add that it is 54mm or 1/32 scale. I also tried something I have never tried before with this model. I cut down twigs from my camphor trees, and made it into scale lumber. I love the way it looks. it looks like tree limbs in this scale. I get the bonus of having curved pieces...

New Master For Medieval Half Timbered Building

We were looking for things to grow our line, and we thought some medieval buildings would be a nice thing to do. Most of what is out there are castle parts. I did quite a few of these when I worked for 21st Century Toys, but they were all ruins. I have always thought that the medieval figure...

    Turning A 2-d Painting In To A 3-d Painting.

I thought this was pretty cool, and I would share it here. http://www.behance.net/gallery/Battle-of-Grunwald/3944653 I would love to see some of the figures printed out. Not sure why the D's are lower case? I was sure I typed it correctly. I need to proof read better before hitting submit.

    Ebay Recasts

I am a really small manufacturer. Our little company does not have many issues with re-casters as we do not make mounted figures, and do not make WWII Germans which seem to be the area that is huge with most pirates. I have noticed that from selling on e-Bay that a lot of buyers seem to have...

    Painting Chainmail

If the figure is metal let the metal work for you. Nothing looks more like metal then metal. If you want to spray primer you can but you need to mask off the metal before you do that. When the primer is dry remove the masking, and polish the metal with fine steal wool and weather as Carl said.

That went much quicker then I expected. Still need to make keys so the parts go back together easily, but that was fast. I guess all that thought I put in to this payed off.

Yea what he said. It was a very common dagger that lasted well in to the 16th century. Off the top of my head I am not sure when they made their first appearance in medieval times. I think sometime in the 13th century. Some say the Scottish dirk evolved form the bullock dagger. Both styles of...

I plan to produce it. I will need to take off his arms at the shoulders and fill the area between the part of the cloak that falls around his right leg. I will need to remove the part of the cloak in the back I will also be removing the scarf like part at the top of the shoulder. So it will be...

Wow just noticed how rough the butt end of the staff looked when I posted that photo. I just took the time to trim and sand that area. Thats better. Taking photos has really helped me to see flaws.

Last few pieces coming together. Bollock dagger is almost finished it will need a little fine sanding here and there to smooth things out. When that is finished it is on to taking it apart for molding. Also smoothed out the scarf part of the hat.
