    Completed Large scale Confederate Officers.

I believe it was in place at the time or was pending. Conte and Troiani were friends so that may also have complicated the issue. Too bad nevertheless. The Gordon figure was outstanding and the Conte stuff was mediocre toy soldier quality. Regarding Keith Rocco he is one of the nicest guys to...

    matte finish?

Not necessary. Oil painters do it to get rid of the glossies but Vallejo should be matte enough as it is.

    1910 Ford Model T

I believe that Model T's were used along the border but did not participate in the actual expedition into the interior of Mexico. I know there were Model T ambulances used from 1915 onward. Now, the Mexicans probably used more Model T's than the US Army. That may be something to look into. The...

I did a lot of research on the Punitive Expedition for a dio I did a few years ago and the vehicle that was used was a 1916 Dodge touring car like this:

WIP Sleeve lace on a Confederate Uniform

In 54mm I would paint it on. Bill Horan's words are "don't sculpt it if you can paint it." In that scale, with using putty you really run the risk of exaggerating the dimensionality. If you paint it and add a dark outline to one side and highlight to the other you will get just as convincing...
